Seems fitting to start a new blog on the last day of 2008. This year has been a tough one for Mr. Stitch and I. We've lost family members, got new family members, had sick family members and not to mention the countless home repairs that we weren't prepared for. But I have faith that the new year will be better then the last. Both Mr. Stitch and I have our jobs when many others don't. We haven't had to sell any of our "toys" like some of our friends have and we still have a roof over our head and food on our table, blessings to be sure.
My little sister will be turning 13 next month and I find it so shocking. I'm just not ready for that. I'm almost 20 years older then her to the day and I remember her as such an adorable little 3 year old. When my Dad and Mom #2 sent this year's holiday card with my sisters school picture in it I was so shocked at how grown up she looked. The last time I saw her was at my wedding almost 3 years ago. She was 10 and just as cute as can be. I'm really not ready for her to be so grown up. She's just beautiful and I'm sooo proud of how smart and well rounded she is.
So anyway, here's to a happy and healthy new year for all!
